work > THOUGHT CLOUD

In THOUGHT CLOUD, performed here Friday, May 30th, 2025, the artist sits silently on a stool, waiting. One by one, visitors approach and request a word from their current state of mind. In response, the artist cuts the word from paper in a single, fluid motion—without sketching or planning. The thoughts accumulate in a soft pile of wishes and declarations, a collective mindscape. Later the thought cloud is mounted in as a collage that is intentionally handled without any particular care. The work continues to accumulate the patina of time while the words testify to a moment past.
